Burnley 0-3 Chelsea | Ziyash scores a goal and assists at the start of the first league The most prominent events of the English Premier League
Chelsea coach Frank Lampard said he was “really excited” with Hakim Ziyech after the newcomer scored a goal and decisive pass in a comfortable victory over Burnley, who did not score a single victory at Turf Moore.
In his first league start with the Blues, wrong-footed Burnley goalkeeper Ziash, Nick Pope, expertly dismissed Tami Abraham in the 26th minute to score his first goal in the Premier League.
Defender Kurt Zuma doubled the lead after the hour mark, climbing to the highest level to score a Mason Mount corner kick.
Then, Moroccan international Ziyech turned to the service provider seven minutes later, slipping through Timo Werner, who fired a sideways shot bypassing the Pope.
“I’m really a fan and really excited,” said Lampard. “I could see his character and his work go on the ball.”
“This part of the quality gives us something different.”
Chelsea moved up to fourth while Burnley remained 18th in the table, and Ashley Barnes missed one of Claret’s few chances when he scored in the first minutes.
